Acoustics Coffee Bar, now situated at a larger space on Neil Road, has undergone a relocation and expansion. The café uniquely employs carefully chosen materials to craft a neutral sound environment, enhancing its acoustics – a distinctive feature reflected in its name. With this move, the owners sought not only to redefine their physical space but also to embark on a rebranding journey.

The Brief
As part of the relocation process for Acoustics Coffee Bar, my clients aimed to undergo a comprehensive rebrand. Through meaningful conversations with them, I distilled their vision and requirements, shaping a cohesive strategy for both the branding and logo design aspects.
Explorations
Design Concepts & Iterations
Building on the provided brief, I developed the initial concept, presenting a logo design that seamlessly integrates the letter 'a,' acoustic panels, and coffee beans. The clients appreciated the clean typography and the symbolism of coffee beans but expressed a desire for a more pronounced representation of the acoustics theme within the design.
In response to the feedback, a revised version was crafted, placing a greater emphasis on the acoustics concept. Following consultations with the clients and conducting user testing, the logos in the bottom row garnered a more positive response. Their design, resembling acoustics panels, was particularly well-received, striking the desired balance between aesthetics and conveying the intended theme.
More iterations were created with the different logos and typefaces.

Finalised Logo
After careful refinement, the logo was finalized. The design seamlessly embodies various elements, symbolizing sound levels, sound waves, acoustics panels, and the essence of a coffee bean. This integrated representation captures the unique identity of Acoustics Coffee Bar, marrying aesthetics with the core themes of the brand.
